This set of durable alphabet cards is a useful resource when teaching phoneme (sound) – grapheme(letter) correspondence. All the consonants are purple in accordance with the letter association cards used as part of the letter introduction sequence in the Treasure Chest Phonics approach. Each vowel has its own colour to support recognition and word building e.g. a-yellow, e-green, i-red, o-orange, u-blue. These colours are also used when the long vowels are introduced in Gr 1.
